Community Park Update – APR 2019

Stage 10 Park is coming together and the soft landscaping is due to begin in May. Stage 22 Park has completed all soft landscaping items and will be open in May.

Blundy Brother’s Park (stage 10 park)
The Civil crew have progressed well and completed the majority of the footpath, with the exposed aggregate concrete areas now remaining. These areas will be poured over the coming weeks,
completing the link between the parks footpaths, playground and kick about areas. The construction of the Hillview granite grey stone wall, which will become a noticeable feature of this  park has now been completed, and looks terrific.
The exciting new playground area has progressed, see the pictures below showing the exciting new play equipment now fully installed. The rubberised soft fall and mulching zones, which will provide for a safe landing for the adventurous, are due for completion in the coming weeks. The safety audit required to certify the equipment complies with safety standards will follow the soft fall mulch installation by the landscaper. As May arrives, we are now nearing for the full handover of the site to the landscape contractor, who will complete the soft landscaping elements to the park. The landscaper will progress with installing the remaining bollards and the feature shelter structure and progress to completing the installation of the BBQ & park furniture, tree
installation, garden bed planting and grassing. We are anticipating completion of the park in May.

Stage 22 Park
Stage 22 Park has seen a hive of activity where all furniture to the park has now been installed, which will provide a place for the exhausted to rest, before resuming their place in the playground or within the kick about area.
As the park progresses to full completion, the landscaper has finalised the installation of all bollards, trees and mulch bowls, garden bed planting, and grass seeding to the park, with the shelter to be finished after in the first few weeks of May. See the pictures of the completed park soft-landsccaping and playground. We anticipate opening the park to the Highgrove residents in May.
